A Three Day Artisan Bread and Cheese Luxury Escape - 26/27/28 September 2020

You'll stay and play, relax and indulge, and leave Te Koi with memories that will linger and culinary inspiration that you'll re-create with gusto and confidence in your own kitchen.
 
Day 1:

Share a luncheon platter on arrival; settle into the lodge. 

Join Ali and Rachel in the lodge kitchen to learn the art of sour dough with Rachel. 

As the dough is working its magic, Ali shows how to make beautiful pickles and chutneys that add depth of flavour to many meals.

In the evening, there is fabulous food in the lodge dining-room and a selection of superb local wines.

 
Day 2:

Start the day with a relaxed breakfast. 

Then Heather Cole, founder of successful local supply store Country Trading, shares culinary traditions with a modern twist: learn the uncomplicated art of making ricotta, a soft feta, and other delicious soft curd cheeses.

The afternoon is for rest and relaxation: your choice of golf, cycling, tennis or a rejuvenating massage. (Charged separately).

At dinner, enjoy favourites from the lodge kitchen; a winemaker from Kina Cliffs winery will show a selection of their excellent wines.

 
Day 3:

In the morning, after breakfast, meet a French cheese-maker at Thorvald Cheese who makes goat, sheep and cow’s milk cheeses unique to the Tasman region.

There is an excellent cheese platter lunch at the neighbouring property of sculptor Michael MacMillan.

In the afternoon, Ali demonstrates quick, tasty breads designed to make your table exciting.

Later, Nelson’s award-winning Italian cheese-makers, Viavio, share their story and show their products.

At dinner, there are Italian-themed cheeses and breads, and another fine meal enhanced by local wines.

 

Booking Requirements:

A 50% deposit is required to secure your reservation, with the balance payable 15-days prior to your arrival.

Fully refundable if cancelled 15-days or more prior to your arrival. Non refundable is cancelled 14 days or less prior to your arrival.

Transfer to and from Nelson Airport can be arranged with Lodge at a charge depending on numbers in group. Please let us know your requirements when you confirm your booking with us.

Enjoy breakfast on your last morning with us, prior to departing the Lodge.
